Beginners Yoga Yoga for Beginners with Janna
In this 4-week, 60 Yoga for Beginners series, you will learn:
* Essential yoga concepts in a comfortable environment with others who have little or no prior experience
* What a sun salutation is
* The stride for the downward-facing dog and various standing warrior poses
* Pose transitions
* Proper form and alignment for plank pose
* How to coordinate breath with movement
* Foundational standing poses, basic backbends, forward bends, and seated twists
* Key yoga concepts and mind/body work, including savasana and meditation
About the instructor:
Janna Conybeare is a certified yoga teacher (RYT 500) with more than 500 hours of training and teaching experience. She currently teaches Mat Pilates (Wednesdays, 5:30 pm) and Slow Flow Yoga (Saturdays, 10 am) at the RAC.
